back from the dead

Ok there's a lot of shit going on, but it seemed as if when everyone was done reading Deathly Hallows they had to post their reaction. Well, I finished it a while ago so I guess now I will offer my opinion. For the slow readers out there, I will post it under a cut just in case there's still people who haven't finished. I won't be a lazily retarded Harry Potter fan and assume that everyone's read it by now, because with that thought process you're basically functionally retarded.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was a huge disappointment to me on so many levels. It was by far one of the worst books in the entire series. It seemed as if J.K. (which always annoyed me because I'm sure that's not her name, she just wanted to be all C.S. Lewis or J.R. Tolkien) grew tired of conjuring up plausible ideas for storylines, grew tired of trying to design a fucking cool exit for such an amazing literary character, that she just sat on her lazy ass one day and shat out that piece of shit book. The following things bothered me:

a) How she skimmed over deaths, she just acted as if deaths were of no importance, to me at least. I mean yeah the funeral for Mad-Eye was touching, but it just came of as completely random and just a cop out to not have him around for the whole book. I do admit, however, that the sequence of events that surrounded his death was pretty cool. I could see the fight almost on how she described it, so at least she hasn't lost that touch.

b) The intensely long focus on the Horcruxes. I realize their importance...but it didn't have to 3/4 of the whole book. I felt as if it should have been titled "Harry Potter and the Quest for the Horcruxes" instead of the Deathly Hallows, which might I add, seemed like a footnote to the Horcruxes when they should have been on the same field.

c) Less banter, more action. I wanted people beatin' bitches up. Instead, we got scarce fights. The Battle of Hogwarts was sweet, but could have been so much more amazing. I don't feel like like either side was given their due. While on the topic of that, I felt as though she just tossed aside the character of Snape, when in all actuality, he was an integral part of not only the story but Harry's life. To simply mention he was the resident Headmaster of Hogwarts and then have Nagini kill him, to me, seemed like total shenanigans.

d) The fact that she kept using the word amongst. It's among for everything if I'm not mistaken. There's no such thing as "amongst" anything.

d) The epilouge (sp) (not prologue Kari!) was complete shit. She ended it so well and then we got a fanfic. Just another reason why this book failed so miserably. That's why I put this as the last point, because it's what put the book in pretty much last place on my list.

All in all, it was a somewhat good read, and was really great literature, but I don't see why people are praising it so much because in my opinion, it wasn't a fitting ending by a long shot. Harry should have died. Hands down.

But now that we're done with that, I might as well say that everything in Arizona is going stellar. My dad is shipping me computer over night on Monday, so thank God I'll finally have AIM again. Also on Monday I will be starting my training for the daycare that I was hired at ($8.00 ph for an 18 yr old, say what?) so that will consume most of my time. I'm going to be a teacher and I will be leading my own class, well there'll be two of us, but still. It should be fun regardless.

Alright, so I'm currently in the beautiful land of Cali visiting my Uncle William as he's getting his Masters today. It's been a blast thus far. Traveled to many sights, except for Hollywood which is what I REALLY wanted to see. But, such is life. I'll give a full recap when I get home tomorrow.

Just wanted to touch base with all my peeble's! :)

My Cornea's blow ass.

Today I'm going to the eye doctor, or the optmetrist (sp) if you will, to see if my cornea's healed. Supposedly, they were wripping because my cheap parents "forgot" to schedule an appointment to get me a new prescription. Any way, they were wripping and I had to wear my goonie glasses for a week to heal them, so hopefully it worked.

I called Dustin yesterday to see if he wanted to do something, anything at all. He replied, "I'm watching the fucking kids, sorry." He also told me to call him later, and I did on which he told me he just got done skating with Mike. FUCKING MIKE. I hate that douche, he stinks and needs to go stick his face inside of a oven because pretty much sucks at life.

This whole Star Jones feud is ridiculous. I'm suprised she hasn't pulled out the race card. You suck Star Jones! Rosie is better. They also might replace Star with some other black celebrity, she played the mom on "Moesha." I wish I could be on The View so I could represent he male demographic. Meh, probably would never happen. Haha.

Get your kicks, on Route 66.

I have to say Cars is really awesome. Once again, PIXAR amazes me. It's like, they can't make a horrible film. But I mean, what comes up must come down, and their Ratoullie (sp) movie looks like a stinker, so who knows.

Meh, so I think I'm going to the beach today with Dustin and Emily, but I mean.. MIchigan has no beaches besides the Great Lakes, so I'm perplexed on where the hell we're going. Maybe Metamora out in the BFE? God help me if it's Bluebell (someone just got shot there, lol). We'll have to see.

Yesterday the three of us went to Mongolian Barbeque, which was delicious as always and then we went to Cars, of course. I recommend both! So, I better get bizzay on my chizzores so I can go beach it up, I guess.

Raindrops are fallin' on my head.

The weather is so horrible, I hate it. I hate rain. Rain can suck my dick. Thank god I'm moving to Arizona in year.

Tonight I'm heading to a little bonfire get-together thing held by the divo himself, Cory/Arvell (He puts Bjorn from MTV to shame). Hillary Kate will be picking me up and we'll head on over to that. I'm kind of iffy on going, because I don't really talk to those people anymore. Only Gabe. So, it'll be interesting to see if I have fun or become very, very bored. More than likely the latter.

Spring Break is coming to a very dismal close. However, I can't complain. It was much better than last year's. Last night's venture to the drive-in to see "Silent Hill" was outrageous.. never saw some of that stuff coming. And "When a Stranger Calls" is horrid and Camilla Belle is a terrible actress as well. The movie didn't need to be remade. At all.
